CDE4VSE.com is the brainchild of Leia Gibson, a VSE competitor from the Pacific Northwest. She has had horses all her life but purchased her first mini with her parents in 2004 hypothetically as a companion to her older Arab. Of course she had to do something with the little guy so she started searching the web for information. AMHR and AMHA shows are fun, but somehow she stumbled onto this neat little website called www.minihorsecde.com and was immediately intrigued. She doesn’t remember now how she found out about Happ’s and whether it came before or after the CDE website, but the next thing she knew she and her small stallion Kody were off to a clinic to learn more about CDE. The rest, including the prompt scheduling of Kody’s gelding operation as soon as they got home, was a foregone conclusion. =^)

These days her retiree Spyderman waits patiently at home while Kody and Leia trot off to CDE after CDE all summer and enjoys the rare times that all three of them get out together. They are quite the trio, sharing a special bond that is not often seen between two horses and a human.

Along with attending every clinic they can find, Kody and Leia have been taking lessons with Lisa Eckhardt of The Driving Training Center since March of 2006 and finally moved up to Preliminary in 2007.
